How
Partners Make the Difference . . .
Partners give of their money, time and talents in a variety of ways. Individuals
give gifts of cash, stock planned gifts, donated services, facilities and
merchandise. Churches, Corporations, Foundations and Organizations lend their
support through event sponsorship, underwriting printed material, matching
gifts, donated services, facilities and merchandise. Partners also donate
their time and services by becoming a member of Covenant House Washington's
VIP - Volunteer Involvement Program.
The
Possibilities Are Endless !
Each week caring people who are searching for ways to make a difference in
their community contact Covenant House Washington. By partnering with us,
they help inspire our youth and encourage our staff. Covenant House Washington
relies heavily on the support of our partners. Our lifeline comes from the
generous support of individuals, churches, and organizations that believe
in and are passionate about the cause that we serve. Eighty-five percent of
the support for our work comes from the private sector's generosity.
Covenant House Washington accepts individual donations of clothing, food, cleaning agents, hygiene items, bedding, office supplies, toys, professional services, and use of facilities. The donation of these items allows us to redirect our funds to providing shelter and services to youth in crisis.
By contacting Covenant House Washington before making a donation, we can advise you of the area in which your gift can be best utilized. Because of the generosity of many of our partners, there are times when gifts cannot be received because of spacing constraints or surplus supplies. In these incidents, we will gladly redirect you to an organization that partners with Covenant House Washington in meeting the needs of youth in our communities.
Offers of sizeable, bulk donations are reviewed to determine if they meet a current need that can be addressed by Covenant House. Bulk donations are typically new, shrink-wrapped and palletized items.
All donated items are transported by the donor.

Gifts of Retirement Plans
Gifts
of Retirement Plans
Many individuals today have large qualified retirement plans such as an IRA,
401(k) or Keogh plan. These assets have been growing tax-free for years. Once
the owner begins to receive payment from the qualified pans, the distributions
are taxed. The plans are also included in the owner's taxable estate. A retirement
plan may be an excellent source of funds for making a gift to Covenant House
Washington.
