June 2000	The District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development recognizes Covenant House Washington for tireless dedication to build a comprehensive network of health, social, educational, cultural, economic, and workforce development services to help disadvantaged residents achieve upward mobility.
March 2001	Society for Adolescent Medicine presents The Hilary E.C. Millar Award to Covenant House Washington for Innovative Approaches to Adolescent Health Care.
2002	The National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy honors the Peer Supported Pregnancy Prevention Program for exemplary service
August 9, 2002	Certificate of Program Achievement from the University of the District of Columbia State Education Agency in recognition for preparing the greatest number of Adult Learners receiving a General Education Development Certificate (GED).
September 12, 2002	Certificate of Recognition from the University of the District of Columbia State Education Agency presented to agency for Outstanding Contributions to the Claude Brown Writers and Readers Session.
April 12, 2003	The Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative (FSFSC) presents Covenant House Washington its Organizational Partner Award in recognition of outstanding collaboration, support and dedication to the work of the FSFSC.

Proclamations & Resolutions

May 2, 1995	Council of the District of Columbia Resolution welcoming Covenant House Washington to the city and citing the accomplishments of Covenant House International.
May 3, 1995	Mayoral Proclamation designating May 3 as Covenant House Day in the city. The Proclamation, presented during the opening ceremony on the agency’s first day of operation, welcomed Covenant House to the nation’s capital, citing a rare opportunity to enter into a joint public-private partnership which will offer support services to enhance the quality of life for children and teenagers who once lived in despair.
November 1995	Council of the District of Columbia Resolution honoring and recognizing Covenant House Washington for devoted service to youth of the Washington metropolitan area
April 4, 1997	Council of the District of Columbia Resolution honoring youth selected for the 1997 Young Ambassadors Program. Resolution designated April 4 as Young Ambassadors Day in the city. The Young Ambassadors program afforded disadvantage youth the opportunity to travel abroad, visiting the cities of Paris and London. The all-expensed paid trip was funded anonymously.
December 12, 1998	Council of the District of Columbia Resolution supporting the 4th Annual Candlelight Vigil for Homeless Youth
December 12, 1999	Mayoral Proclamation designating December as Children and Youth Awareness Month in support of the 5th Annual Candlelight Vigil for Homeless Youth Council of the District of Columbia Resolution regarding the Children’s Bill of Rights and supporting the 5th Annual Candlelight Vigil for Homeless Youth District of Columbia Board of Education Citation supporting the Candlelight Vigil for Homeless Youth
