Other Ways to Give

Many people think it takes the strength of Hercules or the dedication of Mother Teresa to make a significant difference in the lives of troubled youth. The truth is, Covenant House Washington and the youth we serve can benefit from simple efforts you can make every day

We are requesting NEW items, all sizes to fit ages 16 – 24, males and females.

New under garments and hygiene supplies go a long way in restoring confidence and dignity to youth living on the streets. Clothing and necessities for infants and toddlers relieve the load of stress from young parents. New clothing, casual and business attire, help youth hold their heads high with confidence as they pursue their education or go on job interviews. Below are just a few of the items our young ladies and young men need to boost their self-esteem and turn their lives around.

Undergarments/Sleepwear

Females:

Panties, bras, slips—all sizes
Camisoles/t-shirts—all sizes
Pajamas (tops & bottoms)—all sizes
Bath Robes—all sizes

Males:

Briefs and boxers—all sizes

New or like new attire for job interviews and work:
Age appropriate styles for youth 18 – 24, males and female

Males: suits, dress pants, dress shirts, pullover button downs (polo shirts) with collars, khakis—all sizes

Casual attire for males and females ages 18 - 24

Baby Needs

New clothing for infants ages 0 to 12 months: booties, bibs, new infant and toddler socks, crib linens—sheets and blankets, onesies, t-shirts, cute outfits, hair accessories, caps, mits, shoes for toddles and young children ages 1 – 5 years
Unopened packaged items
Baby wipes, diapers (all sizes), baby shampoo, baby bottles, bottle brushes, pacifiers, pacifier clips, teething rings, diaper cream, feeding spoons and bowls, sippy cups

Personal Hygiene Supplies for males and females: shampoo and conditioner (Motions, Aveda, Patene, Suave), facial cleansers and moisturizes (Oil of Olay, Aveeno, Ambi, Dove) bath gels, bath creams and soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, shaving cream, disposable razors, combs, hair brushes, feminine sanitary products, disposable razors
