The Need Is Real
The following numbers paint a picture of the challenges facing youth who seek the services of Covenant House Washington. Of those:
During FY ‘07
- 633 youth sought our services
- 280 had children
- More than 11,400 meals were served to youth and their children who otherwise may have gone hungry
- 415 youth were in need of employment
- 373 needed to improve their education
- 113 youth needed daycare assistance for their children
- 195 youth were homeless
