Child Development Center

Two out of five youth who seek the services of Covenant House Washington have one or more children under the age of five.

The lack of daycare severely limits their ability to enhance their education, find stable housing, and maintain steady employment. The Child Development Center offers parenting youth a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment to leave their children while they go to work or attend classes.

For youth this relieves some of the stress of caring for a child while taking the necessary steps to get their lives on track. The Center accepts infants and toddlers, ages six weeks to three years. Under the careful guidance of certified staff, the children learn and grow through play and a structured curriculum.
